La Consolacion College Bacolod high school classes 1987 and 1962, the major sponsors of the 63rd alumni homecoming, recently donated cash to the school’s Centennial Jubilee Fund that will be used to renovate the auditorium, its press release said.

Sister Maria Myrna S. T. Concepcion thanked the alumni for their contribution and for attending the September 2 homecoming. She said the donation is the alumni’s legacy for future generations of LCCians, the press release also said.

The auditorium has been a training ground for speech and drama which had been a forte of the institution especially in the 60s and 70s. It had turned out leaders, successful professionals and award-winning actors, like Odette Khan, who graduated from LCC Bacolod in 1962.

LCC-B is the first Catholic educational institution in Negros Occidental. Bacolod Bishop Vicente Navarra, in his homily at the mass held in honor of Our Lady of Consolation, recognized the school as the stalwart of Catholic education in the province, the press release added.*
